Avocado and Mango Body Butter Recipe

With Avocado becoming a more popular staple at home, why not try and make a cosmetic product using our Avocado butter. Many people believe it is one of the best for skincare.

Create your own Body Butter using a variety of our ingredients. This body butter will provide you with soft moisturized skin.

Ingredients

  • 400g Avocado Butter
  • 150g Mango Butter - Refined (you can also substitute in Shea Butter)
  • 100g Jojoba Oil Golden - Cold Pressed
  • 1% Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
  • 1% Scented Living Fragrance Oil

Step 1: Measure out your Avocado Butter and set it to one side. Next measure out your Mango Butter and your Jojoba Oil Golden - Cold Pressed, these two ingredients can be measured out in the same bowl.

Step 2: Using the double boiler method, melt your mango butter and jojoba oil together. Melt them slowly and remember to stir occasionally.

Step 3: Once your mixture has completely melted, remove it from the heat. Add in your Vitamin E (Tocopherol) and Scented Living Fragrance Oil. Make sure that the Vitamin E and Fragrance Oil are mixed in completely.

Step 4: Place your Avocado Butter in a large bowl by itself. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, start whipping the butter. Keep whipping the butter until it is smooth.

Step 5: Once you are happy with the texture of your Avocado Butter, add small amounts of the melted Mango Butter and Jojoba Oil mixture to your Avocado Butter. Make sure to whip each time you add a bit more of the melted butter into the Avocado Butter. It is important to only add small amounts of melted butter to your Avocado Butter at a time as too much melted butter will cause your Avocado Butter to melt.

Step 6: Continue to whip your butters together. You will notice that by combining the butters together the mixture will gradually become thinner and smoother.

Step 7: As your mixture begins to cool, the butters will start to thicken as the melted butter is beginning to solidify.

Step 8: Now that the mixture has thickened and is fluffy, scoop your butter into your container of choice. You now have your very own body butter!
